Janine Kutliroff, CEO and Founder

Janine co-founded Omek in 2006, bringing with her exceptional experience in developing and dramatically expanding several global ventures. Previously Janine served as CEO of IDT Global Israel, growing the company into a profitable business with annual revenue of $20M and a staff of more than 900 people. Janine initially joined IDT to assist with their first IPO. She later launched and became CEO of Net2Phone, Inc. a wholly-owned subsidiary of IDT, which was sold to AT&T in 2001 for $1.4 billion. Janine holds a degree in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.

Jonathan Epstein, President

Jonathan joined Omek full time after serving as advisor to the company, and board director, over a span of more than three years. Jonathan´s experience as an entrepreneur includes the successful launch and sale of several companies in the fields of media, gaming, and technology. Prior to joining Omek, Jonathan served as CEO of Double Fusion, the leading independent in-game advertising firm. Prior to that, he helped establish the digital media and gaming practice at United Talent Agency. Jonathan was a co-founder of GameSpot, which was sold to ZDNet, and was president of GameSpy, which was sold to IGN Entertainment, where he ran the company’s media division before its sale to Fox Interactive Media. He sits on a number of boards of entertainment and technology companies. Jonathan holds a degree in physical sciences from Harvard.

Gershom Kutliroff, PhD, CTO and Founder

The inspiration for Omek came to Gershom when he first saw experimental depth sensors, and realized this technology could create one of the most sought-after breakthroughs in the field of computer vision. Gershom has numerous patents pending in the fields of computer vision and video compression. Before co-founding Omek, he was Chief Scientist at IDT Video Technologies, where he led their research efforts in developing computer vision applications to support IDT´s videophone operations. His projects included research into the development of innovative products in the fields of video conferencing and markerless motion capture. Prior to that, Dr. Kutliroff was the leader of the Core Technologies group at DPSi, a computer animation studio. Gershom holds PhD and MSc degrees in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, and a BSc. in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.

Amit Bleiweiss, VP R&D

Amit brings over 15 years of experience in computer vision, computer graphics, and real-time motion capture. Amit has authored several patents and publications in the area of computer vision and computer graphics. Before joining Omek, Amit led the model-based coding group at IDT Video Technologies, managing a team in the area of video streaming and algorithms for video-driven facial animation. Previously, Amit held management positions at DPSI, Optitex, and Silicon Graphics. Amit holds an MSc in Computer Science from the Hebrew University and a BSc in Computer Science from UC Berkeley.

Eli Elhadad, VP Game Development

Eli joined Omek in 2007 to lead the company´s game development team. Before he joined Omek he served as R&D Manager at APProtect and as R&D Manager at IDT Video Technologies working on computer vision-based face detection for the media. Prior to that, he was a Team Lead at Finjan and DPSI. He began his career as a software engineer at Immersia (an Interactive Light arcade games studio) where he worked on four published titles including Kick-It, Slide-It, Home Run Derby, and Split the Uprights. Eli studied computer science at the Academic College of Tel-Aviv.

Ilana Fletcher, VP Sales

Ilana has been part of the Omek team since its founding, bringing strong sales and business development experience to the company. Prior to joining Omek, Ilana was Director of Sales at IDT Video Technologies where she established and directed the sales department for mobile telephone picture messaging, handling sales to Asia, Canada, and Europe. Before that she was Director of Sales for IDT Global Services, consistently exceeding sales goals while initiating and being responsible for over 100 agents on the floor. Ilana holds a MA in Neuro-Psychology from the University of Amsterdam.

Doron Houminer, VP Product Management

Doron brings more than 12 years of product management experience to Omek, including broad know-how in pre-sales, customer and product support. Prior to joining Omek, Doron served as VP Product and Customer Engagement at ClearForest (acquired by Thomson Reuters Corp) where he led the product engagement activities within the acquiring company. Before that Doron headed the ClearForest development group.  Prior to ClearForest Doron co-founded iSeg Technologies, a software company providing customer insight for marketers. At iSeg, he was responsible for the iSeg product suite as well as establishing the R&D, QA, and support teams. Prior to that Doron managed the pre-sales staff for the Western US division of Tecnomatix (acquired by UGS Corp.) responsible for companies such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Doron holds an MBA from the Interdisciplinary Center Herzelia and a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technion.

Leo Hsu, VP Greater China & Southeast Asia

Leo is responsible for relationships with platform, processor and ecosystem partners in Southeast Asia. Before joining Omek, Leo was the Assistant General Manager at the Toshiba Taiwan Product Development Center where he helped transition Toshiba’s worldwide PC development activities from Tokyo to Taipei, and also led the technical marketing effort on new technology ideation & promotion. Prior to Toshiba, Leo spent more than 9 years in Management Consulting, R&D, Business Development and Strategic Planning with IBM and HP. While at HP, he was the key contributor to the 1st Microsoft launch of the XP and Media Center operating systems, the 1st PC ODM business establishment and the Configure-to-Order program setup. Leo holds a BSc degree in Industrial & Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan.
